To view the logs go to the Admin section and choose 'Logs' from the menu on the left. This will bring a drop down menu with 6 options:
- Access Log
- Downloaded Files Logs
- Failed Login Attempts
- Message Log
- User Upload Log
- Usage Log
Here is what each section shows you:
1. Access Log
This is a log of who has accessed the site and shows the username, the IP address they logged in from, the time they logged in and the time they logged out.
2. Downloaded Files Logs
This is a log of which files have been downloaded, which IP address it was downloaded to and the date and time of the download.
3. Failed Login Attempts
This is a log of any attempts to log in where the user has not been able to log in for whatever reason e.g. used the wrong password. This is useful to make sure there isn't anyone trying to access your site who doesn't have permission. It tells you the username, the IP address they tried to log in from and the date and time they tried to log in.
4. Message Log
This is where you can view all the messages sent from the 'Messages' section of School Jotter. It tells you the username of who sent the message, the IP address the message was sent from, the time and date the message was sent and you can view the content of the message by clicking 'show message'.
5. User Upload Log
This is a log of all the users that have been added from the 'Upload User' function. It shows you the date and time the upload was done, the username of who did the upload and the result of the upload (e.g. users created: 10).
6. Usage Log
This is a log of the School Jotter apps that have been used. It tells you the username, the IP address used, the event (which app was opened) and the time and date the app was accessed.
